Bridget Stanton, MS, LMHC

 

Bridget Stanton, MS, LMHC (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a dedicated clinician specializing in evidence-based treatments for complex eating disorders, anxiety, and gastrointestinal-related psychological conditions.

Bridget holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the the University of North Florida, where she served as Secretary for Chi Sigma Iota, and received the prestigious CMHC Research Award. Bridget specifically helps adolescents and adults with Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBI)—including rumination syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and belching disorders—as well as phobias including emetophobia and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Bridget is deeply committed to clinical research and the dissemination of evidence-based care. She co-authored several published articles in peer-reviewed literature, with a focus on eating disorders. Demonstrating a unique commitment to data-driven community impact, she also worked with Data Science for Social Good, collaborating directly with local behavioral health centers to analyze data and help decrease client recidivism rates.

Uniquely, Bridget integrates her strong research foundation with specialized expertise at the intersection of psychology and neurogastroenterology, bringing advanced, evidence-informed care to individuals navigating complex disorders of gut-brain interaction.

Bridget is an active member of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp™), The CBT Alliance of Florida, and Rome GastroPsych.
